Mammogram Subsidy

Eligible women can now apply for the subsidised Mammogram test done at KMC. The programme was introduced in 2007 by the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development through the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN).

KMC has been participating in the programme as one of the private hospitals that serves as the panel hospital for the programme due to its increasing awareness on its patients' necessities. Specifically, the main objective of KMC to participate in the programme is to provide necessary healthcare screening to the public at a very low cost.

Patients would only have to pay RM50 for a single Mammogram test done at KMC. KMC will be paying RM10 from the total cost of the test while the Government of Malaysia will be paying RM50.

Criteria for Eligibility;

Women
Aged 40 - 69 years old
Permanent Resident of Malaysia
Monthly household income of RM5000 or less
At high risk for breast cancer / Referred for diagnostic Mammogram /
Mammogram screening before starting hormone replacement therapy /
Repeat Mammogram for those already in the subsidy programme
Interested women may apply at any LPPKN clinics nationwide.
