Dr. Manisekar K. Subramaniam has joined KMC on 5 / 1 / 2009 as a General, Hepatopancreatobiliary & Minimal Access Surgeon.

• To date, he has attended about 40 meetings, workshops and congresses pertaining to his specialties and subspecialties.
• His career is made more colourful with "Excellent Service" award received in 1999 and 2000, Bintang Kebajikan Masyarakat (BKM) honoured by KDYMM Sultan Kedah in 2001, National Transplant Procurement Award for Best Top Team received in 2001, Best Innovation Award (State Level) received in 2003, 3rd Prize Innovation Award (National Level), Ethicon Prize Winner in 2003, Bintang Cemerlang Kedah (BCK) honoured by KDYMM Sultan Kedah in 2005, Meritorious Certificate for Fellowship of Minimal Access Surgery and another "Excellent Service" award in 2006.
• His achievements include lecturing medical students by conducting special classes for Masters and Fellowships students, serving as the Area Surgeon for St. John Ambulance, participating in Medical Coverage during Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Show, Commonwealth Games and Langkawi International Dialogue, as well as serving as the Moderator for Endoscopic Workshops.
• Besides, Dr. Manisekar K. Subramaniam can also be called as an innovator as he has designed a retractor for upper GI and HPB Surgery (Mani's Subcostal Retractor), novel usage of soehandra biliary dilator as one step of biliary stenting and 3 ports clipless laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
